Located in western Uganda, is known for its scenic landscapes of rolling savannah, acacia woodlands, and a series of beautiful lakes. It is the smallest savannah national park in the country, yet it is rich in wildlife and offers a peaceful, less-crowded safari experience. Lake Mburo is especially famous for its populations of zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elands, and hippos, as well as over 300 bird species. Because the park does not have lions in most areas, it is one of the few parks in Uganda where visitors can enjoy safe walking safaris.
